I haven’t had many people in the studio over the last year. I don’t advertise much, and I had let a project I was working on drag on a bit. New hobbies and an always busy schedule had me contemplate selling the gear and closing the studio. But then something weird happened…

I had 3 bookings come in one after another. And I rediscovered why I enjoy this process so much.
So back to it.

Thank you Nyte Owls, Tiernan, and PHP for reminding me of why I do this.

I decided to offer him a hand and discovered that I really missed playing music live. It really is a bit of a rush to stand up there and perform for people.

I was looking forward to playing more shows, but Laurier decided that he wanted to tour internationally and I obviously had to tell him that I just couldn’t do it right now. He kicked my ass out of the band :-)

I think it’s time to brush the dust off the old songs and get /d/stolemybear going again after all these years. I will be looking for a guitarist and a drummer, so hopefully I will have some news about that up soon. For now, feel free to look over the entire /d/stolemybear catalog, plus some new song ideas I am working on.

Our apologies for the down time. We had so much go on over the last year that we had to close our doors for a bit while we literally let the dust settle…

two-eight has moved!

Yes, we are now closer to town in our own building! We bought the location last year, and have spent the past 18 months trying to find the time to do renovations and build the drum room. We still have a few things to do, but we are able to have clients in again, so we can officially announce the we have re-opened.

And we can record drums!

Part of the reason for the move was needing a space where we could record drums. Up until now we have been recording drums elsewhere, and then bringing the sessions back to two-eight for overdubs and mixing. But not anymore! We now have a drum room that allows us to record drums here in the studio!
